Fourth United Nations/International Academy of Aastronautics Workshop on Small Satellites at the Service of Developing Countries: A Contribution to Sustainable Development 30 September 2003


Bremen, Germany
The benefits of small satellite programs at the service of developing countries will be discussed and their contribution to sustainable development will be highlighted. Invited and contributed papers will cover scientific, Earth observation, and telecommunication missions. Emphasis will be placed on international co-operation, education and training, and support to environment monitoring and security, including disaster mitigation. Discussion will be encouraged, and recommendations will be prepared at the conclusion of the workshop.
