Every year the Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS) invites member States to submit reports on their research relating to space debris, safety of space objects with nuclear power sources on board and problems relating to their collision with space debris, including information on practices that has proved effective in minimizing the creation of space debris.
This information is made available as UN document A/AC.105/978.
