United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs

Fundraising Activities of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs

The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs would not be able to conduct its full range of mandated and discretionary activities to develop space capacity in developing countries without the financial and in-kind support provided by member States and other entitites, including non-governmental organisations and the private sector.

For this reason, the Office, since its inception, has been involved in a wide range of fundraising activities in support of its activities, not only of its Programmes, i.e. the United Nations Programme on Space Applications and more recently the United Nations Platform for Space-based Information for Disaster Management and Emergency Response (UN-SPIDER), but also in support of activities for capacity building efforts in the use of space technology and its applications and the development of national space legislation in member States, including the Regional Centres for Space Science and Technology Education (affiliated to the United Nations).

If your entity or organization is interested in providing funding or in-kind support to the work of the Office or any of its activities, please contact UNOOSA.

This webpage will be frequently updated to provide up-to-date information and useful resources on fundraising and fundraising-related activities.
